As Digital & Social Media Coordinator for Consumers Credit Union, I created compelling content to share with our members via our blog, Facebook pages (in English and Spanish), Twitter, and Pinterest. In addition, I coordinated our demographic specific communications, including our monthly Consumers Connect newsletter, our Dollar Dog Kids Club and Teen In the Loop programs, and our Spanish language materials. I also wrote scripts for our educational YouTube videos, press releases, and our quarterly internal newsletter eMag.
During my tenure, Consumers Credit Union rose to #40 on The Financial Brand’s international list of the Power 100 Social Media Rankings for Credit Unions. We were one of three credit unions on their lists to have double-digit engagement on Facebook, in addition to ranking #9 on the list of Most Active Credit Unions on Twitter. Our YouTube channel ranked #91 on the Top 100 Hottest Bank and Credit Union YouTube Channels, a list topped by Wells Fargo, Bank of America, and USAA. As a West Michigan based credit union with 14 office locations, 200 employees, 55,000 members, and $500 million in assets, we were quite pleased by these numbers.
